"WRITE"

 

Well hello,

I was sitting in my classroom and immediately I just wanted to write. I wrestled for a minute telling myself; "I'm going to get a new journal soon just wait", but then I heard... Blog..   No wrestling, no maybe later, I just opened my laptop and walked write into it. It felt easy..

Can I be honest... looking over my blogs brought tears to my eyes. Whenever God told me to move before I did my best to do so. Studying, journaling, blogging teaching was such a breath of fresh air with God, but in the now. it feels foreign. Oh,  how I miss those times. But then guilt rushed over me... Shame, heart break, and sadness filled my mind, heart and soul, and all I could do was release the only sound God could collect and I felt He and only He could understand... my tears. 

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have recorded each one in your book. - Psalm 56:8 NLT

Even in my pain like a gentle press the scripture softly reminded me I was seen. 

How our past and pain can hold us in a space that makes you feel unwanted, unheard, and misaligned. I felt this and more.  

I'm reminded of the moving Precious, in the scene where Precious played by  Gabourey Sidibe finds out that she's HIV positive. She's in her classroom with her classmates and  everyone is writing. Ms. Rain her teacher, played by Paula Patton, is making her rounds , glancing at everyone's work, but she pauses when she sees' Precious words, "Why me?" 

There's been many journal entries I've written where my why was inevitable. I cried out why even when my mouth couldn't say it. My heart did... my cry did. Ms. Rain told Precious to come to her office. By this point of the movie Ms. Rain is aware of her shift just in those two words, but if I can stand in the gap for Precious and insert myself. Old coping skills can feel invisible, when new pain hits you in the core. 

Precious didn't move, Ms. Rain shares her shock by saying "excuse me" once she calls for Precious and receives no response. Precious shares with everyone that the nurse says she is HIV positive and she doesn't feel like writing today. 

In that moment I knew by Ms. Rains face that she too had no words to express, she was hurt too. While her heart felt torn,  Precious heart was already broken. But she remained grounded and what she believed in... Precious.

  "I remember you once told me you never got a chance to tell your story... write" 

My friend Marie always says two things can be true at the same time. In that moment range came over Precious and she screams "FUCK YOU" As she cried out her story.

Ms. Raine didn't take her cry out personal, she allowed her to cry out her story how she could, in this case it was an outburst of anger and sadness, grief and loss of hope. 

I've been there... I am there.

When God said blog he didn't dismiss my pain, He was honoring it. (honor means high respect esteem, or reputation for integrity and moral righteousness)

"Hear my cry O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You. when my heart is overwhelmed' Lead me to the rock that is higher than I" - Psalm 61"1-2

When a friend of mine  from church told me to pray and set boundaries she didn't penalize my cry she honored it without dismissing what she knew to be true. When God whispered blog He knew what was going to come out of me waaaay before I did. 

He knew what was in me would naturally flow out of me.  word by word.  Throughout this blog, I was focused on, how can and old thing work? But then something new came out of me... My pain and the truth. 

I didn't know where this would go but I'm glad I listened. 

A small step can produce big results. 

My heart feels less heavy, my mind feels clear.

Beauty and the Beast

 

Hey Hey y'all welcome back to my blog!

It's October! Is it just me on did September do what she had to do then leave? This year is flying by, it's honestly insane lol!

Y'all this month marks  three years that I started this blog! It has been a space of safety, creativity through God, and also freedom, and growth that I've seen within myself in these last three years. As always I thank the Savior up above.  Three years ago my first blog I wrote was "Learning to be True to the God  in You", who would've thought that message would be working in my favorite today! There's so much I could get into with that word alone, but stay tune for how all that will come to past!

As you can see the title and the picture speaks for itself. Can I be honest, and you won't judge me?? Okay, so the other day was the first time I've seen this movie straight through. Yes I know, how Kita?? Listen, Beauty and the Beast was amazing after I watched it, but I knew the storyline already prior. Here's my quick take on how I viewed and judged the movie before watching it. Big Scary Beast hidden in the castle, Beautiful Girl finds her way there, they hate each other, then love each other, battle breaks out, he almost die, she breaks the spell with a true love's kiss awww, happily ever after. THE END Typical storyline right? Lol I know some of you are already like, the disrespect, but bare with me God has given me so much revelation on why this movie is just as beautiful as it's supposed to be. 

You know how I am let's breakdown the two words that make this movie, BEAUTY and BEAST

Beauty: means a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form that pleases the aesthetic sense especially the sight. 

Beast: means an animal, especially a large or dangerous fowl footed one. 

Now as I did my research beauty is represented by the color pink, but the director didn't use pink he chose yellow/gold, to represent emotional growth, not just within Belle but in my eyes it was for the both her and the beast. The message of color doesn't unfold until the end when connection is being build. Belle wears blue which gives a calm settling look, but also clear direction. 

The movie starts off with the narrator discussing the prince and how his character was before he was transformed into the beast. "He was rich, selfish, and nasty."Then we go into the story where the beast turns away an old lady who says "Do not be deceived by appearance because beauty is found within." 

I Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, Do not look at the appearance or at his physical stature, because i have refused him. for the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

Although the old lady who wasn't old at all spoke these things and put a curse on him  to me it represented a scripture that we often all fall into, subconsciously and consciously.  As we go into the movie we know the curse has to be broken before the prince 21st birthday, but...

"Time moved on and he fell into despair and lost all hope, cause who can learn to love the beast."

Now that we know the beast it's time to get to know Belle.

We meet Belle in the town being herself. Although, Belle was beautiful she was strange to the people, a dreamer, "behind her beauty she was odd." Although she was nice and kind, she had an opinion and dreams that weren't a thing for woman in her time. It made me think of us as christians how we stand out from the crowd of the world, but fit into the arms of God. 

I Peter 2:9" But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 

Belle was her authentic self even if that separated her from the crowd, but it didn't keep her from questioning or replaying those thoughts in her head. This part of the movie where we are introduced to Belle's father we learn that he is an inventor that everyone thinks is crazy. I immediately thought about Jesus, before he was known as our savior He was known as "the carpenter son" Belle is the representation of Jesus, the hope that we are looking for, but sometimes find later on. Stay with me Friend God's still speaking. 

Belle had a crush who wanted her for her beauty because she was just as beautiful as him. His name was Gaton, I saw Gaton as religion, it looks good, it sounds good, but was full of pride, false reality and a bad representation of what beauty is. That's what religion represents, a false facade of who God is and how we are suppose to be.  

Just like I had to watch the movie I encourage you too. Fast forward when Belle goes to look for her Father, and finds he's the Beast prisoner, she sacrifice herself in order to save her Father. The Beast agrees and sends her Father off without them saying goodbye to one another, this hurts Belle but she makes a promise to set her Father free. But the Beast knows that she may be his chance to freedom, but freedom doesn't come through angry and control, it comes through vulnerability and accountability.  After the beast demands her to go to dinner, after showing her her room,  Mrs Pott and Chip comes in and Belle shares her feelings with her and where she is, and how she is feeling. Mrs Pot speaks prophetically to her and says, "Cheer up old child it'll be alright in the end." Sometimes we have to learn and hold on to the promise of God being yes and amen. 

I saw Mrs. Pot as wisdom. Wisdom was with God in the beginning and still is speaking today. Proverbs 7:4 Says to wisdom, You are my sister," and call understanding your nearest kin. 

It reminded me when Jesus was in the garden praying and he took on the hard truth that not his will but let God's will be done. Belle didn't elaborate after Mrs. Pott said this, but eventually she will see it come to past. 

As the movie went on God dropped this in my spirit, When we start to see ourselves like the world it feels like we are the beast to God, instead of adapting hope to keep pressing we rephrase hope and began to feel hopeless. We began to carry the world instead of carry the Holy Spirit that rest in us. We hide ourselves and become angry with our situation which makes us angry with God. 

However, just like the movie we have a Savior (Belle) that can sympathize with us. Both the Beast and Belle was separated by their appearance but also the status of who they were. For Belle her beauty didn't match her personality the standards of the world, like Jesus you can't be the Savior of the world a jew the carpenter son? While the beast got caught up with the appearance of his current situation not in who he really was, but what he had to do in his situation to take free his true self.  That is us caught up in the sins of this world, that we forget to find who we truly are within.  Can I speak to your heart for a second,  no matter how bad the curse the enemy may put on us the love of God always win. An act of true love is the only thing that breaks the curse. 

The act of God is what turned the Beast into who He was always supposed to be. Can I encourage you to not take on what the world or the enemy curse you to be, but allow God to show his authentic love to you. 

I believe Belle was in yellow, to represent the son of God that shines bright in our face but rest in our heart. There's beauty in the beast, because the beast is not truly you it's behind what the curse has told you!

Hey!!!

Did you think I forgot about the red flower? In my eyes the flower does not represent that all  hope was lost, but in the words of my Pastor  new book title All Hope was found. The blood that was shed on Calvary made the enemy think He won, but we know that was not the end. Even when the last petal fall, it was the act of love that allowed restorating power rise up in the beast for his true self to be set free. In the end the blood that Jesus shed was never in vain, and that my friend always wins. 

The Parables of Joy

Welcome back to my BLOOOOOG!

Walking with God is so refreshing talking from a spiritual perspective and a natural perspective. A couple of weeks ago I was sharing with my best friend different songs and I text her and said, "I'm about to go on a walk with God I feel a revelation coming on!" 

Let me tell you I only walked around twice and the Lord told me to rest on the swing and He began to minister to me; "The Parables of Joy"

Parables are simple stories used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels. In Matthew, Mark and Luke, you see Jesus speaking a lot in parables to give the people of God understanding.  You know I'm always about getting an understanding, so when God gave me this title, he began to break down the word Joy. 

Psalms 30:5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may  endure for  a night, But joy comes in the morning. 

Joy a feeling of great pleasure and happiness

Biblical:  a lasting  emotion that comes from the choice that God will fulfill his promises 
When you think of joy you can’t help but think of God. 
Many people experience happiness, excitement, and gladness, but joy is one you don’t hear often, until you’ve truly experience an encounter with God.
I picked this verse because as I was talking to God in prayer the scripture was broken down to me. 
Weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning 
Night when you think of night what is your first thought?  Some may say, 

• Their bed

• Sleep

• Movie time  

• Relaxing

• The ennd of the day

But if I can challenge your spirit for this scripture, for me immediately I thought of darkness. 
Often times when we are experience hardships it can feel like darkness is surrounding us. It can feel like the light of the Lord is far from us. 
Darkness makes us forget that the light of the Holy Spirit is in us. Darkness makes us loose are way when we already know the path. 
We’ve all experience darkness and it can feel like it’s night even during the day.
 “But joy comes in the morning”
Morning 
When I was a little girl my experiences with God always felt like a bright Saturday morning, hearing the birds in the sky and the smell of fresh grass, my encounter with God always felt like a welcoming greeting with the Father. It gave me immediate JOY
Morning time I think of 

• Bright 

• Peace

• Newness 

Jesus spoke in parables so that the people of God can grasp an understanding of who God was and what they could experience if they chose to follow Him. 
I am big on not getting so familiar with a scripture that I don’t allow God to give me new revelation on it. 
As God broke this down to me I realize we can sometimes only use this scripture for what we are feeling, seeing physically with our eyes and not with the heart of a situation.

I Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel,  Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his statues, because I rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at our heart.

This scripture is so good to me for so many reasons but even with this scripture. God is looking at our heart and he can see when the things of this world makes us weep. But God knows that when morning comes the brightness of day, joy will be our portion. 
God wants us to know that darkness does not last long that joy is coming. How do I know that? In the beginning of the verse He says His anger is but for a moment. God is so good, even when it feels like our Savior is not with us, its a temporary feeling to a life time of enjoyment with the Father.  It goes beyond this earthly world. 
Whatever darkness that try’s to cloud your mind the Lord says joy is coming .
What do you want your morning to look like in order for you to experience  joy ?
Even in those moments of darkness God is with us 

Exodus 13:21
And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give to them light, so as to go by day and night. Vs 22 He did not take away the pillar of fire by night form before the people. 

God is with us always,  don’t allow the enemy to steal your joy 
When I was a little girl we used to see a song  in our children church choir that said those same words:

“ I got J O Y joy JOY in the Holy Ghost, I got J O Y joy JOY in the Holy Ghost!” 

“Don’t let the devil steal your  JOY, don’t let the devil steal your JOY, 

Don’t let the devil steal your JOY, JOY in the Holy Ghost.”

We have to remind ourselves that our joy comes from the Lord !

Nehemiah 8:10

Then He said to them , “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is my strength. 
Joy brings strength to your mind, to your body , and to your soul, only God can touch all three parts of your being at the same time. 

In this season God wants to give you joy! 
Are you willing to let God be the light of joy in your darkest moments? No matter how dark life can be, a small glimpse of light can make a difference. 
My late grandmother used to ask me, “Is your light shining?” She was checking in to see if darkness was running my day or if I was allowing the spirit of God to light up my day.
I believe the light of God is the joy of God and we all get to experience that. 

Romans 15:13 
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit 
I love when scriptures help you back up other scriptures! My spirit gets excited when the Lord brings everything together it's refreshing to my soul, I want to leave you with this last scripture that sums up the leading scripture of this blog. 

James 1:2
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials. Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 
God is so good!

I challenge you to read all of James one, and allow it to minister to your heart. It gives so many guides on how to move in everything with God.
Allow God to give you joy, and watch how he change the darkness in your life suddenly!

The Promise is Here

 Hey Hey

Welcome back to my blog! I am so full and excited for what God is doing, He is constantly showing me all I have to do is trust Him! 

The bible says, "Therefore we are also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. - Hebrews 12:1 NKJ

I get so excited hearing the word of God, it literally is our instruction manual that leads us through a world that can be so evil; but thanks be to God we know a light a power that is above every scheme, every evil, every demonic statics, YEHWAH is He! I tell my friends all the time I am obsess with God there's no greater love than His!

Let me get into the blog because the more I think of God's grace and mercy and His goodness towards all of us my soul get's excited! My mind gets lined up, my heart leaps, my body makes a shift He's really a good good, Father. 

The Promise is HERE!

Last night I received some amazing news and was just overjoy for what God was doing. After praising God and talking to my circle I went to bed. The Lord speaks to me a lot in my dreams, and in my dream I was late to the event that I was excited about. I left all my equipment, I didn't have my car, it was raining outside, everything that could go wrong was going wrong. As I was gathering myself to find a ride, I got stopped by some familiar people that I no longer associate myself with. They wanted me to go to an event and was literally pushing me into the car to hurry to get me there. You know when you are in a play and the actors are rushing behind the scene to get ready for the next act, thats exactly how fast they were moving with me. 

I kept saying, "Hey I have somewhere to be",but I wasn't talking in a voice that showed authority over my situation, but  I was showing them what I used to be. Timid. 

Timid means to show a lack of confidence of courage or confidence, frighten.  Have you ever been surrounded by a pass thing that you forgot who you were in God?  Have you ever been surrounded by what YOU use to give power to? I was speaking but I wasn't speaking with authority I wasn't being the power house that God said I was. 

I began to get frustrated because they wanted me to change into a dress I knew was too big for me. I overheard them say they spilled beer on the dress and that they didn't get it clean, but they wiped it down.  Still timid in my words, I said I don't want to wear this dress it's too big. Unknowingly, I have already given the power that I'm staying I just can't wear the dress.

That's what the enemy does to our mind, he makes us believe that we have to give in because what's around us is louder than the promise that God already gave us.  Who are we listening to?

Eventually I saw a crowd of people that also looked familiar waiting for me to get on stage, I began to put on the dress, but it was so big that it kept falling off of me, and some of the audience kept seeing me undress. How often have we given ourselves to crowd that didn't need to see what was meant for just you and God. I know I have!

As I began to become frustrated with myself and the outfit I woke up. All this happened in my dream. As I got up I went into prayer and spent time with God and He began to speak to me about the dream. 

When our promise is close to us our past will try to come up and entangle us with things that we should be doing to please them. In my dream I was surrounded by familiar voices I use to give power too. Allowing them to dress me even if it embarrassed me. 

Isaiah 43:18 NKJ says Do not remember the former things nor consider the things of old! We are giving power to an old thing! God says turn up your discernment, they're going to be people who try to service themselves as help to you, to get you to do what they want you to do and, and want you to be instead of what I called you to be! 

I said Lord break it down. He said, "you were surrounded by what people wanted you to be and how they wanted you to move, that you gave into  what was loud instead of the promise that was already in motion." In the dream I gave into what was louder that I forgot about the very event that god put together for me. Because of my frustration and timidness I moved into something that wasn't a God thing, but a man thing!

Come here Moses!

Numbers 20:4-12 AMP Then the Israelites, the whole congregation, came into the Wilderness of Zin in the first month [in the fortieth year after leaving Egypt]. And the people lived in Kadesh. Miriam died there and was buried there.Now there was no water for the congregation, and they gathered together against Moses and Aaron.  The people contended with Moses, and said, “If only we had perished when our brothers perished [in the plague] before the Lord! Why have you brought up the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness to die here, we and our livestock?  Why have you made us come up from Egypt, to bring us to this wretched place? It is not a place of grain or of figs or of vines or of pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.” Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the doorway of the Tent of Meeting (tabernacle) and fell on their faces [before the Lord in prayer]. Then the glory and brilliance of the Lord appeared to them; and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; and you and your brother Aaron assemble the congregation and speak to the rockin front of them, so that it will pour out its water. In this way you shall bring water for them out of the rock and let the congregation and their livestock drink [fresh water].”  So Moses took the rod from before the Lord, just as He had commanded him; and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. Moses said to them, “Listen now, you rebels; must we bring you water out of this rock?”  Then Moses raised his hand [in anger] and with his rod he struck the rock twice [instead of speaking to the rock as the Lord had commanded]. And the water poured out abundantly, and the congregation and their livestock drank [fresh water]. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you have not believed (trusted) Me, to treat Me as holy in the sight of the sons of Israel, you therefore shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.” 

Moses missed what God had already promised Him, because of His frustration with the crowd he was around.

God is saying in this season you have to pay attention to what He has already told you. No matter what is going on around you, no matter what the enemy try to say God is saying son, daughter keep your eyes on me! Don't miss your promise because you are looking at your situation!

Exodus 14:13:14 NKJ"And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of Yehwah, which He will accomplish for you today.  For the Egyptians whom you see today,  you shall see again no more forever. Yehwah will fight for you and you shall hold your peace."

You have to know that God has you, you have to know that if God said it it's going to happen. Numbers 23:19-20 NKJ "God is not man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He spoken, and will he not make it good? Behold I have received a command to bless, He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it."

We serve a God that is  a promise keeper! In my dream I was timid because what was around me, but God said, I have not given you the spirit of fear, but of power love and a sound mind! - I Timothy 1:7

We have to walk with spiritual boldness. God made us to be strong soldiers for His kingdom. 

Proverbs 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. Be bold for God as He is bold for you. 

The promises that God has for us is here, don't miss what He has for us because things of the world is trying to entangle you with your past. God is doing new things, and when you keep your eyes focused on Him, He will blow your mind further than you can imagine!

I pray that this word encouraged you, as it has me,  I pray you will hold on to the promises that God has for you, its not on the way but it is here!

Frozen Too

Hey Hey welcome back to my blog! It's something special about building an intimate relationship with God. It's a secure feeling let me tell you! God is so amazing, can you just pause for a second and just reflect on how great God is, and how he has sustained all of us throughout this entire year. Hallelujah, I'm grateful.

I must tell you a secret about me, I am not a big fan of watching movies like I use too. As I get older I just want silence lol, especially hear Ms. Kita, Ms. Kita Kiiiita D lol, however when I do watch a movie, God speeeeaaaaks every time! If you look at the title you already know where I'm going with this one. When God changed the title I said Abba, Frozen Too, instead of Frozen Two? He said, I am reminding you that I can speak through anything. I mean a God that will grasp our attention anyway because He loves us. 

I am a woman who will look up words even more now because when God speaks every detail counts, so I looked up the word too, and it means in addition or also. And it reminded me of what the Lord said above I can speak through anything Frozen Too (also). We serves a detailed God!

At work before gathering my students for circle time I always let them dance and listen to music I give them their time and then they give me that time back during circle. I truly have the best class. On this particular day one of my girls asked to listen to "Show Yourself", now I don't know if you ever watched Frozen II or the first one, but its so prophetic, I encourage you to go back and watch it with a God perspective it will blow your mind. As I put on the song the Lord began to speak and of course tears began to form in my eyes. 

 The song says:

Every inch of me is trembling but not from the cold 

something is familiar like a dream, I can reach but not quite

 hold on I can sense you there like a friend I've always known.

I'm arriving and it feels like I am home. I have alway been a fortress 

cold secrets deep inside you have secrets too but you don't have to hide.

Are you the one I've been looking for All of my life? 

Show yourself I'm ready to learn. I've never felt so certain All my life, 

I've been torn but I'm here for a reason I was born? I have always

Where the North wind meets the see. There's a river full of

Just typing this just reminds me how important it is to listen for God in all things! I said Abba you are showing us how to connect with you on a deeper level than what we are used too. If you watch the movie (SPOILER ALERT) for those who have not watched it, in each movie whenever Elsa realizes who she is her garments change! I wish ya'll could see how pumped I am in this! (focus Kita, but my praise is real) Each time Elsa began to recognize who she was. Unapologetic about it her garments changed each time. Do you know we serve a God that will not allow us to be complacent in anything, but will continue to  mold us and grow us as He sees fit. Elsa had to let go of fear in order to see herself, but she also had to still away from the crowd! 

Matthew 19:25 NKJ 

But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

What work can God do in your life simply by you eliminating the crowd? 

In Frozen Two Elsa was the only one who could hear the voice and the only one that felt a shift that only she could get too. This was her assignment.  We have to understand when God is calling us to a higher assignment that doesn't require everyone to go with us.  It felt familiar to her. The Holy Spirit is already inside of us we just have have to be willing to accept the change.

Romans 8:14-1 NKJ

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God  these are the sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba Father."

Elsa started to become fearful because she felt a change that no one else could relate to.  How many of us sometimes become fearful because we see change that we don't recognize is God, or because others don't see it first?

God reminds us we didn't receive the bondage of fear AGAIN. God is saying don't go back to an old way of doing things, the change is coming from me. HALLELUJAH!  Isn't incredible when the Lord makes the change!

II Timothy 1:6-9 

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 

Elsa had the power in her hands! God reminds us to stir up our gift, Elsa did work, but she couldn't stay bond to a kingdom/place she was never called to be. Sometimes we get comfortable in a place thats meant for someone else's elevation,  Anna couldn't be elevated until Elsa moved out of the way!

Are you stopping someone else's elevation because you are comfortable?

Jesus!

Ephesians 3:17-19 NKJ

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith' that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. 

When you began to follow the voice of the Lord them familiar place feels like home, bondage breaks off, and freedom you began to walk in with God. 

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed - John 8:36

Allow the Holy Spirit to make the change in you! Allow God to show himself all through you. Listen to the voice of God and allow him to change what was familiar before and make it home in Jesus name!

God is intentional with our life! I pray you are blessed by this word today, I pray you would go back and not only listen to the song after reading the scriptures and talking to God ,but that you will see and feel His presents greater than you did before.

Elf on the Shelf

Welcome back to my blog! We are in the last month of the year, it is December 5th! If I'm honest looking back on my life from this year alone I am blown away by how God has moved in my life. I am so humbly grateful to the Father for just being so good to me. Most of all for waiting patiently for me to run back to him fully and completely. 

As you may know I am a preschool teacher, and with that I am very animated and have a broad imagination when it comes to teaching and keeping my students engaged.  We are in December so of course my students are beyond excited for Christmas and Santa bringing all the presents! Now we all know the reason for the season, but my babies are 4. I have introduced them to Elf on the Shelf. I have one that personal looks like me, but we also have one that is going around the center to all of the classrooms. On this passed Friday all the classes came together to watch the Elf on the Shelf movie and when I tell you I was in tears the Lord spoke so loudly and clear through a 30 minute movie that was focus on Santa but was actually focused on Him for me to share with you. 

Just a short background of the movie. There's a young elf name Chippy (named by the children) that is eager to go down to earth for his first assignment Now Chippy is new to this, but has faith he can do the job with no trouble. Santa tells him he is a little young but trust him to do the job. In his assignment he has a boy name Taylor who does not believe anymore and twin sisters that do. Chippy does all that he could to get Taylor to believe. He brought out old pictures with him and Santa, but nothing was working. He still did not believe. 

Did I forget to mention that the kids were not aloud to touch Chippy and if you would touch him he would loose all his magic and be stuck on earth forever. One day Taylor  wanted to prove that Chippy was not real, he said, "If he's so real he would move when I go to touch him." When he touched Chippy; Chippy fell over,! With devastation his sisters ran to tell his parents. Chippy tried to make his way back to the North Pole but was to weak to fly. However the other elves saw him and helped him and brought him back to the North Pole.  STAY WITH ME HERE !

As Chippy was in the hospital the other elves tried to cheer him up saying "Rise up, rise up, it's time to show it. I can hear the Queen in Black Panther saying, "Show them who you are!"   but Chippy felt like he failed his assignment. Taylor felt horrible so he wrote Santa a letter to apologize for hurting Chippy. 

Have you ever lost hope in what you needed but gained belief when you wrote it down? As Taylor wrote Santa he sent it off to the North Pole, and Santa received his letter. 

Here's when God began to speak. Now Santa is huge compared to the elves, and He also carries all the magic, but he gives each elf magic to hold on too. However, it is up to them to stir the magic up within them.  My My my God is amazing. That's how God uses us, each of us have the Holy Spirit in us and God is waiting for us to stir up the gift that we have in us to do the work that He has called us to do. 

II Timothy 1:6-7 NKJV

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power love and a sound mind. What gift has God given you that you're not using? Have you adapted the feeling of fear, instead of trusting the power thats within you?

As Santa sat at his desk reading the letter He got up to go visit Chippy who was well to return but began to feel sorrowful and began to have doubt cover him.  Have you ever been in a place where after everything you tried wasn't working out so doubt began to cloud your mind.

Santa said, how are you doing Chippy?", with sorrow Chippy said, I let you down Santa I did everything to get him to believe but nothing worked, I failed you. Have you ever felt like you failed God? I know I did and then God reminded me that There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the spirit. - Romans 8:1

 Santa said, "Chippy you can't make people believe you just have to be there and do your work. They must feel it in their heart to believe in me. Is your heart posture fixed on God? Do you believe God to give you the strength and the power to do the job He is calling you to do. We are called to do the work, but we can't force people to believe and God can't force you either, but He can show you who He is. It's in our actions and speaking that we can demonstrate how good, and big our God is.  Recognize who your father is and where you get your power from, and gain your identity with the Father. 

John 15:1-11

I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.  Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that continues to bear fruit, He [repeatedly] prunes, so that it will bear more fruit [even richer and finer fruit].  You are already clean because of the word which I have given you [the teachings which I have discussed with you].  Remain in Me, and I will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken off] branch, and withers and dies; and they gather such branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.  My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples.  I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love and do not doubt My love for you.  If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.

 Santa allowed Chippy to read the letter that Taylor wrote and his heart was overwhelmed with joy. 

John 9:4 says, I must work the work of Him that sent me while it is day, for the night will come and no man can work. 

You must know that the work you are doing is not in vain, that if God called you to the assignment then He has faith to believe that you can complete it. Chippy believed in the begin, but started to feel doubt when things became difficult. Not every task is easy, but it's worth it. 

I'm a living witness on how God moves. Look how he moves through movies 😉

Traveling With Jesus

Hey Hey! Welcome back to my blog!

November is flying by, can you believe that 2022 is almost over !? It has been a year but I can honestly say it's been rewarding these last six months.  I am enjoying this journey with God and daily developing a deeper relationship with God. 

But let me share how God is just right on time with how He brings the word for all of our understanding. On Friday morning I was home from work due to a snow storm and was just laying on my bed scrolling on TikTok and the Lord told me to go pray. 

As I gathered in my prayer closet I sat against the wall and began to thank God for EVERYTHING and the more I prayed the closer I began to move towards the wall in front of me until I was curled up in the corner praying in my heavenly language and telling God everything. 

At that moment the Lord gave me a vision of me literally curled up in His ear, and He said this is how close you are to me daughter. I hear your prayers, your desires and your heart, stay right here. I kept praying and just embraced the love of the Father until I was released from prayer. As I got out I just felt God's presence so heavy on me still I went into worship and and sent my prayer sister a voice memo, as we shared what God was doing He dropped this, "isn't great traveling with me, your just a pilgrim passing by doing the work I sent you to do."

Maaaaan Jesus is sooooo amazing I absolutely love Him. 

Traveling With Jesus 

As I began to study I looked up the word pilgrim, and pilgrim is a person who journeys to a sacred place, for religious reasons,  another definition said one to journey to foreign lands. 

In greek it means: worshipper.  

I said God I see why you call us pilgrims, because we are worshippers following you

I Peter 2:11-12 Beloved, I beg you as sojourner and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against your soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evil doers, they may by you good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. 

As believers we are called to stand out. Earth is not our home, but there's some destinations and places that we have to go through while we are here. 

I am big on understanding words so I looked up traveling too. Traveling means going or being transported from place to place. When you are walking with the Father you are going to be moving constantly with Him. God won't let you get comfortable in a thing when He is trying to move you into a better thing, or a new thing. My Bishop said once, if you stay ready you don't have to get ready, you have to be ready when you are walking with God. 

Isaiah 43:18-19. The Lord ministered this entire chapter to me. He said I need you to get an understanding why you travel with me, even through dark days, dark moments, and rough time I have purpose for it all.

"Do not remember the former things, nor ponder of the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth, Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness and a river in the desert."

God is saying as you traveling this journey of life with me don't remember the life you had without me, nor allow your mind to ponder on the things of the past. Ponder means thinking about something carefully, especially before making a decision or reaching a conclusion. The enemy would love to keep you on your past so you can see what you could have done differently, but God says to fix your mind on things above, not on things that are on earth which have only temporal value -Colossians 3:2.  God is moving us forward! Then He says listen carefully. The Lord had me to look up the word carefully and carefully means in a way that deliberately avoids harm or errors; cautiously. God is so good! He wants us to tune our ears to him with great care and no harm, because He wants us to be ready to catch the new thing that He has for us.  How do I know that? Vs 9 Now it will spring forth, will you not be aware of it? If our mind is pondering on what has happen we will miss the new thing that God is doing now! God says I'll even put roads in the wilderness and a river in the desert. He's reminding us that He can do the impossible! 

With man it's impossible but with God all things are possible.- Mark 10:27

Trust that traveling with God is not in vain, but its a journey like never before because you have the creator Yahweh guiding you! Through your travels, know God directs every move when you stay connected to His will, His way and His word. Are you packed and ready? Yahweh is waiting on you!

Knowing Who You Are In Christ

Welcome back to my blog. 

God is truly amazing,  I pray that when you come across this blog you will be blessed with what God has given me to share with you.

It is currently 7:23am Sunday morning and the Lord has been speaking to me and directed me to write this blog. I am in a space where when God says move I must move with no hesitation. I woke up pretty earlier and started my day with devotion and prayer and began to make breakfast for myself. As I was doing so I began to listen to old recordings that I had in my phone and I came across one from November 30th 2020, immediately the Lord began to speak.

Can I tell you, I am a living witness that God will bring you back to a thing to remind you who you are in Him. I titled the recording "Being Best Friends With God" As I listen to the recording the Lord said, I already knew who you were daughter, I just needed you to believe who you were in me and not in man.

Even as I type this I keep pausing to worship our savior. When the Lord reminds you of who you are who can deny it?

                                                                    Jeremiah 1:4-5 NKJV

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

Who does God call you to be?

What have you called yourself? Does it line up with what God has for your life? 

We loose our identity in God when we try to line up our identity with man. God says no longer will you claim what the world says about you, but now you will follow what I say about you. 

Matthew 16:26 NKJV For what profits a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what  will a man give in exchange for his soul?

When you break down the word "IF" it means a condition or supposition. Jesus knew it would be a possibility that we will choose what we see in the world then what we see in Him.

I am a living witness that I picked the world many times, and like my mentor says, "those who are in Christ that try to be like the world looks like cornballs LOL." We just don't fit in no matter how much we try. We are not meant to be like the world, because Jesus already overcame it!

John 16:33 NKJV These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. in the world you will have tribulations; but be of good cheer, i have overcome the world. 

I want to encourage you today to find out who you are in Christ by building that intimate relationship with Him. God says you don't know who you are because you are still trying to find out who I am. I pray even now that as you learn who God is He will show you daily who you are, I pray now that God will show you who He is by the things you ask in prayer. I speak even now that miracle signs and wonders will come your way and that you will see truly and completely how big God is. I speak God will change who you are and make you more like Him in the name of Jesus. Amen

Embrace the Process, as You Embrace God

Welcome back to a New Thing Blog!

I don't know about you, but the closer I get to what God promised me, the more the enemy starts to plot and scheme. But I'm grateful that God is showing me how to stay at His feet and believe His word and not what the enemy is whispering. 

Which brings me to my next topic, "Embrace the Process, as You Embrace God. When God gave me this I said Lord this is not only on time for teaching, but this is right on time for me. One thing about God's word and the revelation that comes with it is, it hits your heart first. As I was preparing and studying I got so emotional about how mindful our God is to us, and to know His promises are yes and amen it made me want to continue to fight to see what the end is going to be. It gives me so much peace just to know every day I wake up I'm counted in the number. 

Embrace the Process, as You Embrace God, I was sitting in church when God gave me this title and immediately began to write down what He began to speak to me. 

There's two definitions that I found the first says, 

embrace: accept or support (a belief, theory, or change) willingly and enthusiastically. 

Immediately I was blessed. If embrace doesn't fit the exact format to what God wants us to do when it comes to following Him. 

1. He wants us to believe

2. Know that change will happen

3. Do it with joy

The second defintion is, to hold someone closely in one's arm especially as a sign of affection. God wants to hold us in His arms. Jesssus I can feel my help typing this. God is so amazing He wants us to feel His presence as we go through to know that we are not alone. 

God didn't stop me there, but had me look up process. 

Process: a SERIES of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end. 

It's not something that happens quickly. I said Father I hear you. In all this you want us to hold on to your love as you walk us through the series of steps that you have laid out for us. My God! That's the type of God we serve. He soooooo mindful to break things down for our understanding. 

Embrace in Hebrews means to lie down or to put your entire weight on something. 

Process in Hebrews means to adapt. 

Embracing change with God is not always easy, but can I tell you it is worth it. When God is taking you through a new season that you never saw coming you have to trust Him with every step. 

Ecclesiastes 11:5 Just as you don't know the path of the wind or how bones develop int he womb of a pregnant woman, so also you don't know the work of God who makes everything. 

We don't know how God is going to do a thing but we have to trust His plan and know that His plan is the best plan.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 

Ask yourself the question, "Do I trust the plan that God has for my life, or do I trust me more."

Ask yourself, who has let you down, you or God?

Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live, I will be with you as I was with Moses I will not leave you or abandon you. 

God is not like man where He will leave us without instructions, strategy or comfort. Whatever we need God for He will be there. Some of us have been abandoned by family, friends, coworkers, jobs, partners and more and we compare their actions to God instead of  letting God handle our situation. 

God is bigger than what we've bee through we just have to allow Him in to help us through it all. 

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him he will make your path straight. 

As you embrace your process and follow God in it all He says don't lean on what you know and what you are use to but to trust him in it all and through it all. 

The process with God is worth it, it keeps you at His feet and not at your own. 

Change is something that constantly happens when you walk with the Father, I encourage you to keep taking the steps with Him 

Proverbs 16:9 A Person's heart plans his way, but the Lord determines his steps. 

Allow God to keep guiding your steps, and watch Him change things for you, keep embracing the process as God keeps embracing you.

Stay encouraged, I love you but God loves you more. 

Revamp Your Mind

When I say God is still doing a new thing, He is doing a new thing! I am so excited to see what God has for us!

So last week the Lord dropped this title and this lesson on me and it's been  blessing me so I'm excited to share with you.

"Revamp Your Mind"

I was sitting in church and the woman of God was preaching on Think Carefully It's Time to Rebuild, now her sermon alone blessed my entire life. As I was listening God said, tell my children to Revamp Their  Mind. 

As I went home to study I looked up the word revamp, and revamp means; give new and improved form, structure or appearance to.  I said God wow, the definition match what you want for our life. So God wants to reconstruct our mind to improve us for His glory. 

Notice when God changes are mind then He begins to change our appearance. ! Whew God is so good.

As I was studying and writing the Lord kept giving me different scriptures to lean on so don't be alarmed but think how mindful our Father is that He will lay out the instructions for us in His word. The power in reading God's word . 

Romans 12:1-2 

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in view of mercies of God, I  urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God this is your true worship. Do not be conformed to this age but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may discern what is good, pleasing and perfect will of God.  When you revamp your thinking then you are able to discern the things that are pleasing to God and not yourself. 

How do you renew your mind? 

You have to continuously seek God's face.

Matthew 6:33 

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness should be added unto you!

God is the only who can change our mind. But it's in our prayer, and confessing to the Lord that we will get the instruction on how to do so. Be honest with the Father, humbly submit to what He says and what he wants for our lives. 

I Corinthians 2:16 

For who has known the Lord's mind, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.  

In the bible it refers to our head 360 times, and mentions are mind 96 times. The Lord already knows that the battle starts in our mind first, but then he gives us scriptures to stay out of our mind and to stay in Him. He's such a good Father to us.  There's nothing about getting instructions from your Father, stern loving and, but yet straight to the point! He's a God like that.

I Chronicles 28:9 

As for you Solomon my son know the God of your father and serve him whole heartedly and with a willing mind for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intentions of every thought.

You have to be willing to let go of what you want and your mindset and ask Abba what is it hat you desire of me. God cares about us so much that He's patient enough to wait until we get it right.  As I type I get so excited Abba our God,  and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for laying it out plan so we can get what we need to navigate this life here on earth.

Deuteronomy 30:11 

This command that I give you today is certainly not too difficult or beyond your reach.

Revamping our mind will be hard if we are doing it ourselves, but when we do it with our Lord and savior it will not be difficult or out of our reach, God is saying you have to do it with me. We have to choose if we want to  live a life like Christ and move with Him. 

Deuteronomy 30:19-20

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that i have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live.

God wants us to choose Him.  He wants our soul salvation. Salvation starts in your mind, you have to revamp your mind in order to see the change in your life

Salvation is deliverance from sin and its consequences. 

Exodus 14:13-14

But Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord's salvation that he will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you must be quiet. 

Romans 8:21-25

That the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Paul battled in his mind but when he allowed God in God was able to shift him from where he was.

Change is not impossible when you are walking with the Father, I encourage you to check the way you're  thinking allow God to revamp your mind so you can see what He has for you in this life, like it is in Heaven.

I pray that you were encouraged I pray you will stay focus on the Lord as God continue to show you how big He is!
